Bugs fixed since 2.74:

• bugfix: updated common control attachment to VB6 files instead of VB5. Hopefully this fixes the installation troubles of 2.74's installer.
• bugfix: sometimes locked up from a bugfix in 2.74 code

New features:

• add: Rename a virtual drive volume by right-click menu
• add: Updating/Deleting a virtual drive volume by right-click menu now selects the right-clicked item by default
• add: Navigate folders like Internet Explorer (Forward/Back)
• add: Alt-LeftArrow and Alt-RightArrow double as Forward/Back navigation. Note: If your mouse/keyboard has dedicated forward/back buttons that work in Internet Explorer, they will probably work here too :)
• add: Home button takes you to a pre-defined folder of your choosing.
• add: Go Home option in the Go menu.
• add: Change your Home Folder manually from the Setup Wizard.
• add: "Set as Home Folder" option in main Folder menu. You can imagine what it does.
• add: Choose to start in Home folder or last-visited folder. You'll find this in Setup Wizard under System > Startup.
• remove: Clipboard Viewer (Honestly, did anyone really use this?)
• remove: Winplay3 support (Does anyone still use this?)
• remove: Slide Up/Down buttons from toolbar. Drag & drop is easier, and you can still use the right-click menu to slide to top/bottom.
• change: made some more tool windows look nicer
• change: replaced some toolbar icons with nicer ones

Bugs fixed since 2.73:

• bugfix (maybe): locked write-access to folders so they can't be deleted, moved, or renamed.
• bugfix: old versions filled empty tag space with spaces (&H32) instead of nulls (&H00) This caused comments in Winamp 2.x to show up with excess spacing--particularly in the comments field.
• bugfix: Tag & Rename Wizard failed to separate track #s from Album field when "Convert A/An/The" option was disabled

New features:

• new: initial support of Fraunhoffer VBR MP3 files -- thanks to assistance from Mal Meredith
• new: Copy/Move folder via drag & drop in the tree
• new: $count, $0count, ... , $0000count tags in Tag & Rename Wizard to make "001 first song.mp3" "002 second song.mp3" etc.
• speedup: tweaked the bitrate code even further
• misc: friendlier (XP-esque) window design (work-in-progress)
• misc: when creating a new folder, you can choose to use the starting folder or define a new folder from scratch.

Bugs fixed since 2.72:

• bugfix: resetting cache statistics did not cause the display to be reset as well
• bugfix: doing a size-based search sometimes caused nothing to come up in Search
• bugfix: doing a search for a file between two dates didn't come up with anything
• bugfix: bitrate display was misaligned after editing the tag

New features:

• new: Create folder. Now you can create folders without opening up Explorer
• new: Delete folder. Delete a folder (its contents, subfolders, etc). Has same warnings as deleting a file from ShufflePlay.
• new: Rename folder. Lets you rename a folder and makes appropriate changes to the files list and playlist too!
• new: Right-click menu to make a Virtual Drive. It's a little more intuitive :)speedup: doing a search across all virtual drives is a little faster
• speedup: progress bars draw faster, thus tasks involving them will also speed up
• speedup: makes better use of memory allocated for virtual drives
• speedup: faster detection of ID3v1 and Lyrics3 tags
• misc: minor code cleanups (minimal performance increases, but it makes it easier on me, the programmer)
• misc: streamlined Search code
• misc: bitrate detection system is much more accurate and slightly faster than old system according to benchmarks (actual milage may vary)

Bugs fixed since 2.71:

• bugfix: didn't pick up some VBR files
• bugfix: autosave indicator in status bar didn't go away by itself
• bugfix: couldn't use Selection wizard on Files listing if Playlist was empty
• bugfix: if a field is changed in the Tag & Rename Wizard, but it isn't part of the filename, then the field was not updated when the wizard was finished.

New features:

• user-customizable capitalization rules in Tag & Rename Wizard
• more useful statistics in Virtual Drive statistics window (under Tools > Performance menu)
• "Current folder" option under Look In: box in Search Wizard uses search target of current active folder (virtual or real)
• auto-play option when navigating songs in Simultaneous-Tag mode
• "Check For Update" command checks for new versions over the Web when you select it from the Help menu.
• automatically saves Virtual Drives after adding/removing/renaming
• When a time (folder total, virtual total, etc) is more than 24 hours, the time is now reported as "days:hh:mm:ss" (1:00:12:34) instead of just "hh:mm:ss" (24:12:34)
• Open/Add/Recurse folders via a right-click context menu inside the drive tree
• Add/Update/Export Virtual Drives via right-click context menu inside the drive tree
• Tag & Rename doesn't tag a file if it knows the tags haven't changed, speeding things up
• moved Delete option into its own section in the Playlist context menu
• updated URLs to point to new homepage, http://www.fliptech.net/shuffleplay
• added homepage URL in About box
• added online documentation for Setup help
